Wild Bond – a crafted random bond that delivers timeless character
Wild Bond is a narrow, linear laying pattern that blends the relaxed, irregular charm of old cobbles with modern sleek, linear design. Each course uses slender units laid in variable lengths, so the joint grid never repeats yet the installation remains quick and intuitive. Spacers on all edges create uniform joints that can be filled with resin‑modified mortar for a weed‑free, low‑maintenance surface. The different lengths arrive ready to install in pre-mixed packs, allowing installers to complete full courses with minimal cutting, achieving artisan character at modern‑day speed.
A’gora® in Wild Bond
Wild Bond can be specified with Bleijko’s A’gora® exposed aggregate finish. A’gora® pairs a high‑performance concrete body with a premium surface layer of selected hard‑stone aggregates. Two surface finishes give specifiers complete freedom:
- Ground – the top surface is finely ground to reveal colourful granite and porphyry grains, producing a terrazzo‑like sheen that gives excellent slip‑resistance even when wet.
- Shot‑blasted – a gentle steel‑shot treatment opens the aggregate matrix for a subtly textured, natural‑stone feel.
A’gora® is readily available in one of the market’s broadest colour palettes— from cool greys such as Kingstone to warm earth tones like Sahara. Furthermore, our colour laboratory can develop bespoke shades for the unique look, making the creative possibilities virtually limitless.
Format and supply
The pavers are packed in three or five complementary lengths that share the same slender width. Mixed‑length courses flow rapidly across the laying bed without on‑site pattern planning, and standard site equipment is all that is needed for handling.
Where Wild Bond excels
The pattern lends itself to pedestrianised high streets, shared‑surface residential streets, plazas, retail squares and any urban realm that benefits from a softer, handmade rhythm. It has already proven its value on coastal boulevards, market squares and mixed‑traffic residential areas, calming vehicle speeds while adding visual richness.
